Exhibition Date: July 1, 2017 to September 24, 2017
Reception Date: Saturday, July 1, 2017 - 2:00pm
Free Artist Talk with Whiting Tennis: July 1 - 1 pm

Showing in the main galleries of the Museum of Northwest Art, Whiting Tennis mounts drawings, paintings and sculptures exploring the origination of line and form. Tennis seeks to understand how line seems to underlie conscious thought in the mind. Tennis aims to create pieces that let loose his primal creative force, resisting the urge to impose conventional shapes onto his work.

Sculpture is also a constant form of wonder for Tennis. Displayed sculpture will pay homage to the earliest sculptures known to mankind to reinstate a time when the image was more advanced than language.
