About the Teaching Artist:
Kayla Williams is an up-and-coming artist in the Bellingham area. She uses a combination of collage, painting, and other mixed media to document her own healing journey from trauma, and to share in the collective healing of folks from various marginalized and underrepresented backgrounds. As a former teacher who participated in the MoNA Link program, Williams has experience teaching young students to own their artistic capabilities. And, having led several community workshops at the Museum of Northwest Art, Kayla has expanded into a foray of teaching art to adults as well. She is thrilled to be invited back to share her love of mixed media art through this card-making workshop!
